About Us

Welcome to The Domestead - our family-run homestead where the days are full, the animals are loud, and the love runs deep.

I’m Noey. I grew up farming, the frugal kind, where you reused everything, made do with what you had, and rarely bought new. It taught me how to be resourceful, hard-working, and deeply connected to the land. I’ve always known this lifestyle was my calling. These days, alongside my work in animal medicine, I care for our herd, garden, orchard, and barnyard with that same grounded spirit ... even if things aren’t always picture-perfect.

My husband, JJ, took the scenic route to farming. He’s an accountant-turned-firefighter who also happens to be allergic to nearly every animal on the farm (yes, really). But that hasn't stopped him. What he lacked in experience, he’s made up for in heart - from not knowing the difference between hay and straw to becoming a hay-stacking, pig-wrangling, goat-restraining pro. Around here, we lovingly call him “The Farmer’s Husband.

Then there’s our daughter, V - now a full-fledged little farm girl at 3 years old. She’s wild about horses, loves helping milk the goats and cows, baking beside us in the kitchen, running through the pastures, and socializing our animals with so much joy and gentleness. She’s growing up rooted in this land and lifestyle, and it shows in everything she does.

And in Fall 2025, we’ll be welcoming a new farmhand to the family - our baby boy is on the way, and we can’t wait to watch this next chapter unfold.

We started with dairy goats, but The Domestead has grown into so much more, offering homegrown produce, baked goods, eggs, meats, and of course, our beloved animals. Our goal isn’t perfection ... it’s connection. To the land, to each other, and to the people we feed.

We laugh often, love a lot, swear occasionally, and embrace every part of what makes our multi-cultural family and farm unique. We hope to share not just what we grow, but the joy and messiness of this lifestyle we’ve come to love.

Thanks for being here.
